In a rental market where processing speed, quality of follow-up and candidate experience are key differentiators, property management companies and real estate agencies are looking to digitize their processes even further. This is precisely the logic behind the new integration between DigiRENT and Firstcaution. Thanks to this collaboration, the management of the rental guarantee is now directly integrated into the DigiRENT application process. This evolution allows real estate professionals to centralize more steps in a single work environment, while offering a smoother experience for future tenants.

A key step in the rental process is now integrated into DigiRENT

Once an application is accepted, there are still several administrative steps to complete before the lease is signed. One of these is setting up the rental guarantee. While this is an essential step, it often involves additional exchanges, manual follow-ups, and the use of external platforms.

With the integration of Firstcaution into DigiRENT, this process becomes much simpler. Applicants can now select Firstcaution directly from their DigiRENT application form. The information is then automatically added to their file, allowing the leasing team to track the progress of the process without leaving DigiRENT.

A real operational gain for real estate agencies and property management companies

This new integration was designed primarily to meet the realities of the field.

Rental professionals often have to manage a large number of files simultaneously, follow up with different stakeholders, verify documents and track the progress of several applications at the same time.

The goal is therefore simple: to reduce administrative friction and centralize more information in a single tool.

With DigiRENT x Firstcaution, teams can:

  • centralize the management of rental guarantees in the rental process;
  • limit the manual exchange of attestations;
  • directly track the progress of requests in candidate files;
  • gain more visibility when analyzing and selecting applications;
  • streamline the transition from accepted application to lease agreement and rental guarantee.

This approach not only saves time, but also strengthens the quality of file management.

A better experience for tenant applicants

Today, the experience offered to candidates plays an important role in the perception of a real estate agency or property management company. Future tenants expect simple, fast and digitalized processes. By integrating the option to select a Firstcaution rental guarantee directly into the DigiRENT form, an additional step in the process is simplified. Once the application is accepted, the candidate no longer needs to search for a solution separately. Part of the process can be initiated directly from the online application. The result is a smoother, more consistent and more modern process.

Firstcaution: a recognized partner in rental guarantee in Switzerland

Firstcaution is a Swiss insurance company specializing in digital rental guarantee solutions. For over 12 years, its mission has been to make housing more accessible and fair for everyone.

Approved by FINMA, Firstcaution has already accompanied more than 200,000 tenants across Switzerland with flexible rental guarantee solutions tailored to individual needs.

Convinced that the rental experience should be simple for all market players, the company also develops solutions and integrations for property managers and real estate professionals to simplify processes and streamline the rental journey.

Thanks to a combination of innovation, real estate market expertise and proximity, Firstcaution is actively contributing to modernizing access to housing in Switzerland.

In this context, Firstcaution is strengthening its collaboration with DigiRENT by integrating its free provisional certificate directly into the platform. This document allows a prospective tenant to confirm to a landlord that they will be able to provide a rental guarantee upon signing the lease, even before the final certificate is issued.

This integration enables landlords and real estate agencies to directly track the status of provisional certificates and rental guarantees linked to applications within DigiRENT. This development further streamlines the rental process and centralizes a key step directly within the digital journey of the applicant.

Follow attestations directly from the candidate file

When a candidate applies for a Firstcaution temporary certificate, their status is immediately visible in DigiRENT.

Rental teams can immediately see if the application is:

  • pending;
  • refused;
  • accepted.

This visibility allows for quick access to additional information when reviewing applications and helps to avoid some external follow-ups.

From provisional certificate to final warranty certificate

Integration doesn’t stop at the application stage. When the applicant is accepted and the file moves towards the lease signing, DigiRENT also allows you to manage the transformation of the provisional certificate into a full guarantee certificate.

When the status changes:

  • Pending lease contract;
  • Lease contract to be signed;
  • Lease contract signed / Rented;

the property manager can directly launch the transformation request from DigiRENT.

Firstcaution then contacts the future tenant to finalize the elements required to issue the lease guarantee. The status of the certificate can then be consulted directly in the DigiRENT file until the final validation.

Once accepted, the lease guarantee document is accessible from the interface.

DigiRENT continues its vision of digital rental

Since its creation, DigiRENT has been designed to simplify the work of real estate professionals by digitizing the various stages of the rental process.

Online application submission, file verification, status tracking, pre-selection, acceptance, document management, communication with applicants: the entire process is designed to provide greater operational efficiency for property management companies and agencies, as well as their clients. DigiRENT also includes AI-based features to help rental teams with certain time-consuming tasks, such as analyzing attachments to applications. For example, the system can detect certain anomalies or inconsistencies in the documents submitted and flag them for the staff to facilitate file review.

With the integration of Firstcaution, DigiRENT is taking another step forward by directly integrating the management of rental guarantees into this process.

Fewer tools, fewer administrative back-and-forths, more transparency and a smoother process for both teams and applicants: a concrete evolution that directly addresses the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s real estate rental market.
